Botox® is a wonderful product brought to us by Allergan®. It helps to smooth wrinkles and lessen the effects of aging. Botox® helps to smooth frown lines, crow’s feet, bunny lines, smoker’s lines, and correct gummy smile. It can also be used to help and correct turkey neck, and be used to provide a liquid facelift when used in conjunction with other products. However, it is very important to select the right treatment specialist or things can go very wrong. Here at Skin Essentials@Broadway Center, our aesthetic specialists are all licensed and have the experience to provide modern skin care treatments.

It is well known that only a small minority of people injecting Botox®, have the requisite knowledge and abilities to perform such procedures. However, the extreme popularity of Botox® has led many medical, dental, and chiropractic practices to join the Botox® bandwagon. This poses some challenges though. Not everyone doing injections is licensed to do so, which puts patients at risk of not getting the results they deserve.
Another aspect of Botox® treatment that many people don’t consider is the quality of the treatment being received. In an article featured in the L.A. Times several years back, plastic surgeon Dr. Brian Kinney maintained that “Few people are aware that the strength of the Botox® solution can vary widely among doctors.” Watering down Botox® is what makes it cheaper and more appealing to the check book, but you might not be getting fully authentic results. The cheaper the Botox®, the more concerned you should be about dilution of the product. Generally speaking, quality Botox® offered by licensed skin care professionals is going to cost more. There may be circumstances where you have quality providers, but the product is watered down, making it cheaper. As it has been said many times before in regards to pricing, “If it’s too good to be true, then it isn’t true!”
